The Breed
The Cane Corso Standard
The Cane Corso (pronounced KAH-neh KOR-so) descends from ancient Roman war dogs. A majestic Italian Mastiff bred for guarding property, hunting large game, and serving as a loyal family protector. The name translates to “guardian dog” or “bodyguard dog” in Latin.
